Dear Dolores: English Teaching in the Wilds of China77

Dear Dolores,

I hope this letter finds you well. I'm writing to you from the remote village of Taiping, in the heart of China's mountainous Guizhou province. I've been here for nearly a year now, teaching English at the local primary school.

The school is a simple affair, with two small classrooms and a dirt playground. The children are mostly from poor farming families, and many of them have never met a foreigner before. At first, they were shy and hesitant, but they quickly warmed up to me.

I've been teaching them basic English vocabulary and grammar, as well as some simple songs and games. They love to learn new words, and they're always eager to practice their pronunciation. It's amazing how much they've progressed in such a short time.

But teaching English in a remote Chinese village isn't without its challenges. The biggest one is the lack of resources. The school has no books or computers, and the only materials I have are the ones I brought with me from home.

I've had to get creative in my teaching methods. I use songs, games, and even肢体语言to help the children learn. I've also started a small library in the classroom, with books that I've collected from friends and family.

Despite the challenges, I love my job. I'm making a real difference in these children's lives. They're so eager to learn, and they're always so grateful for my help.

I know that I'm only here for a year, but I hope that I can leave a lasting legacy at Taiping Primary School. I want to help these children to reach their full potential, and to give them the tools they need to succeed in life.
